The right wing is intensifying its all-out assault on voting rights, an effort that destroys the very foundation of democracy. Purporting to solve the non-existent problem of voter fraud, voter ID legislation (mercifully set back in Pennsylvania, for the present) serves to suppress voting among poor and minority communities.
